Southway Studio x Pablo Padovani

FR/ Emmanuelle Luciani et Pablo Padovani tissent un dialogue entre le monde de la musique et celui des arts visuels. Rencontrés autour des compositions sonores de Pablo pour les projets et expositions de Southway Studio, ils ont décidé d'étendre leur collaboration en créant ensemble une résidence musicale au Pavillon Southway, à Marseille, pour y inviter des artistes de la musique.

Depuis sa création, Southway Studio accueille chaque année des artistes français, européens et internationaux au Pavillon Southway. Ces sessions de recherche, de création et de production durent environ deux semaines. Elles sont le creuset de rencontres et de découvertes grâce auxquelles l’artiste s’imprègne de la maison, des créations du studio, de l’atmosphère et de l’histoire de Marseille et de sa région.

Les artistes accueillis bénéficient de toutes les commodités nécessaires à leur processus créatifs : logement, atelier et matériel.

EN/ Emmanuelle Luciani and Pablo Padovani weave a dialogue between the world of music and that of the visual arts. Having met around Pablo's sound compositions for Southway Studio's projects and exhibitions, they decided to extend their collaboration by creating a musical residency at the Pavillon Southway in Marseille, to invite music artists.

Since its creation, Southway Studio has welcomed French, European and international artists to the Pavillon Southway every year. These research, creation and production sessions last about two weeks. They are a melting pot of encounters and discoveries that allow the artist to immerse themselves in the house, the studio's creations, the atmosphere and the history of Marseille and its region.

The artists are provided with all the facilities necessary for their creative process: accommodation, studio and equipment.

Pablo Padovani

FR/ Réalisateur et musicien (sous son pseudonyme Moodoïd), Pablo Padovani travaille depuis 10 ans avec une grande variété de musiciens à travers le genre pop, qu'il s'agisse de groupes français établis ou de sensations émergentes. Pablo a développé un style à cheval entre pop et surréalisme, toujours avec une touche d'humour, d'artisanat et de ruse. Très inspiré par le cinéma américain des années 80 et tirant souvent une carte d'idées d'un autre monde, Pablo s'efforce pour chacun de ses projets d'apporter une dimension cinématographique pointue en se rapprochant de la fiction.

EN/ Director and musician (under his pseudonym Moodoïd), Pablo Padovani has been working for 10 years with a wide variety of musicians across the pop genre, from established French bands to emerging sensations. Pablo has developed a style that straddles the line between pop and surrealism, always with a touch of humor, craft and guile. Very inspired by the American cinema of the 80's and often drawing a map of ideas from another world, Pablo strives for each of his projects to bring a sharp cinematographic dimension by approaching fiction.
